The Law Offices of Millicent B. Athanason

Our office represents clients in  personal injury and wrongful death cases as well as selected family law matters, including but not limited to divorces, post-divorce modification proceedings, paternity, custody, support and alimony.

Originally from New York, Milly grew up in the Orlando area and graduated from Winter Park High School.   She went on to receive her college education at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida and thereafter received her Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1988.

Milly brings more than twenty years of experience in legal practice.  Her Personal Injury experience includes working both sides of the legal platform; as an insurance defense attorney in Tampa representing major insurance companies and then as a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney in West Pasco County.

She has extensive experience in many areas of Family Law; not just working with families directly, but also working with the State of Florida representing the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services in juvenile dependency cases. 

Further, Milly has served as volunteer counsel for the Guardian Ad Litem which handles cases of abused and neglected children.  She also serves as a Parenting Coordinator as well.

Her level of experience continues to foster excellence in students who have attended the various paralegal courses she has taught in both Pasco, Hernando and Tampa.

Milly is certified as a Circuit Civil, County and Family Law Mediator and she has provided training to other attorneys and mediators in Pinellas and Pasco Counties. She is admitted to practice in all State Courts in Florida, the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Florida, The United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Milly is a member of the West Pasco Bar Association and The Florida Justice Association.
